What’s New

November 2011

This summer the CCMRD accepted a new Tier 2 member, ASCO Aerospace Canada Ltd.  A description of this latest addition to the CCMRD team can be found on the CCMRD Members & Partners page.  The CCMRD also launched its fourth and fifth projects.  These projects are developing and demonstrating technologies for the next generation of composite manufacturing factories and investigating the applicability of recently developed high temperature composite materials to aerospace applications.

The CCMRD has continued to pursue collaborations with Canadian and International organizations by joining the Aerospace Industry Association of Canada, participating in a CRIAQ / GARDN workshop in Montreal in June, the first CANNAPE workshop during the Paris Airshow in July and the GlobalNet conference of Boeing engaged technology centres in September.  The CCMRD is actively supporting preparations for the Canadian hosted second CANNAPE workshop in November.  These activities have connected the CCMRD and its members to the greater aerospace technology development and demonstration community and generated collaboration opportunities.
